The APEX
Funnel Compound
The Apex features a very strong compound built with furnace walls that, once breached, transform into a lethal funnel. Raiders are forced into a single trap route covered by 3+ strategically placed turrets, all protected behind chainlink fence.
This funnel is directly tied into the shooting floor, giving you pixel peaks and brutal angles straight into the breach, turning every push into free kits.

The Apex features carefully designed defense points that allow fast respawns and instant re-gear, keeping you in the fight at every stage of a raid.
Bedrooms are placed in logical, protected locations right next to shooting floor access, open core peaks, roof defense, and compound defense routes, creating "respawn & go" flow without being cheap to destroy.
For the best defense experience, the base includes up to 3 different jump ups between floors, ensuring you’re never cut off during a raid.

Built The Base on Bloo Lagoon 1.5x as a Duo, the Design worked out perfectly, we managed to defend 2 Raid attempts against, 1 while in the building process and 1 with the fully finished Base, both trios dipped after about an hour without even getting to OC. I made some slight adjustments regarding the compound (6 Turrets per TC xo) and the Roof Turrets, the Pods that you can (hopefully) see on the Screenshot put the Windmills a bit higher and makes the turret almost indestructible + gives it better angles.
Love the Design and will definitely build it again next Wipe <3

Honestly best base ever !!! My first time buying a base design. At first i thought i was mad contemplating it but best decision in ages. I absolutly love the Apex , i have been playing around and tweaking bits and pieces to add my own stamp to it as well which has been fun.

Hello everyone!
I've lived in many of this author's houses, my favorites being Ares, Dungeons, and Void Beast 2, but this one is incredible.
Pros: Plenty of space (can distribute loot), two exits from the house, three rooftop exits, easy loot shooting, a hidden bunker (hard to guess it's there), double ceilings, excellent shooting spots on the 3rd floor and the ability to separate them, the roof, my respects, is beautiful and spacious.
Cons: The cost of the house per day, construction, especially the initial part, is difficult solo, you need someone to cover.

i’ve bought every premium base except for the void so far. and i can say with confidence that this is faded’s best one yet. it has the best open core for a small group and a really fun shooting floor. i built this base and had a great time with it, great progression, excellent peeks and it’s just so beautiful. i didn’t struggle with the starter as much as some said. Its a nice base design but for early game is just not good enough at all if you are not snowballing and getting door camp 24/7 you cant build and they can see inside which later become an issue cause they know where are the loot rooms

I was playing with some friends that are new to the game (so we were slow in resources etc), I built the base next to Silo and neighbours that were dominating the area came to the base to inspect it and they complained about the floorstack, minutes later they were raiding someone else xd feels very strong and I have been able to split the loot all over the place, my friends love it aswell :)
Oh also we woke up second day to raid attempt, they raided to the open core through doors and found nothing, left after HQ bunker and HQ pancake + double stack

I think the apex is an amazing base design. It held off plenty of online raids and was fun to build. The only downside is that on console setting the floor stack up is a little tricky but I got the hang of it. Whether this is sent straight to faded personally or to the company, tell him that Kellar said this is the best base I have every built and seen in rust.

I had the chance to check out this Rust base, and honestly, it’s seriously impressive. The layout is extremely well thought out — it’s both practical and creative. The loot rooms are organized efficiently, movement inside the base feels smooth, and the defense design is clearly built by someone who understands the game mechanics well.
The shooting floors give great visibility while still being well protected, and the way the honeycombing and peak-downs are set up makes raiding it a real challenge. I especially liked how the base balances offline raid protection with active defense during online raids.
It’s not just functional — it looks clean too. The symmetry and overall structure show real attention to detail. You can tell a lot of planning went into this build.
Overall, this is a high-quality Rust base design that combines smart defense, efficiency, and good aesthetics. Definitely one of the better builds I’ve seen.

quite the fun base, have had a lot of online raids and offline raids that i still could defend cause the base takes that amount of time to raid so i can get in quick enough.
Extremely good space for boxes so you can store your loot.
Only thing that is a little annoying is that there are some blind spot on the roof that the turrets cant se, but i just place i turret in the dead center and it pretty much fixes the problem.
The most fun thing is when you get offlined and spawn on the upper locker, where you can look down on the mid core is to send a big fat velocity rocket on them thru the pick. 0 counter play and you can mess with the offliners

Just ended the first wipe with this base, I got to admit, Faded did an amazing job designing this base, it's a masterpiece, never had this much fun while building a base :D peeks are also fucking OP, this base design is the best base i have ever built. Also, idk if it's the base or what, but the urge to get an online raid was just growing bigger and bigger 🤣 If you can't choose what base design to build for your duo/trio/quad+ wipe, there are no competitors for the "The Apex" base design. This is one of THE best purchases I have made through my whole life.
